TEZ Holds CSR Education Activities in Underdeveloped Areas

In order to carry out one of the corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs, especially in the field of education for children students in underdeveloped areas, on January 9, 2024, PT TEZ Capital And Finance (TCF) provided an aid package for equipment and infrastructure to support teaching and learning activities, in the form of a package of study tables and chairs as well as cupboards to support literacy activities ( furniture ) at schools.

The CSR program in the form of assistance for educational facilities and infrastructure, in 2024, was given to the Mathla'ul Anwar Elementary Madrasah school located in Kubang Badak Village, Cipeundeuy Village, Malingping District, Lebak Regency, Banten Province.

Previously, the condition of the school's educational facilities—especially the desks, chairs, and cupboards used for teaching and learning in the classrooms of 63 students and 7 teaching staff—was quite concerning. Many of the desks and chairs were unsuitable and even posed a safety hazard due to their nearly broken condition.

Over time, the school, founded by TCF in 2018, began to accept more students. The number of students continued to grow each year, and with limited and increasingly sturdier tables and chairs, students had to take turns using the tables and chairs. Many even had to participate in teaching and learning activities while sitting on the classroom floor.

Likewise, the whiteboards in each classroom are small and in poor condition. Furthermore, the teachers' desks and chairs are also inadequate, with some even damaged and requiring replacement with plastic chairs.

After conducting a study of the total needs for educational facilities and infrastructure, especially the need for tables and chairs in classrooms and teacher's rooms, TCF finally decided to provide assistance in the form of: 30 student desks, 60 student benches/chairs, 6 teacher desks. Other supporting assistance: 6 shoe and book cabinets, 4 whiteboards and 12 fans. TCF's CSR activities, the implementation of which involved DT Peduli, received a warm and enthusiastic welcome from the school management, teachers, students and parents who attended. The handover ceremony for the TCF aid packages to the school took place solemnly and lively.

The handover ceremony was attended by representatives from the local village and sub-district governments. The total CSR assistance in the education sector from TCF to the school, amounting to Rp35,700,000 ( thirty-five million seven hundred thousand rupiah ), has provided a breath of fresh air, motivation, and enthusiasm for learning and working for all students and teachers at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Mathla'ul Anwar.

This assistance not only has a positive impact on us and the current students, but also on the future of our school, our village community, especially our children in the future. The TEZ company has always been there when we need it, since the establishment of this school in 2018 until now, they have returned to improve our school's educational facilities and infrastructure. Hopefully, the good intentions and real contributions that PT TEZ has given can bring blessings for the company to grow and be successful in the future," said the Principal in his speech.

Following the handover of the furniture packages to the school, TCF also gave gifts to all students of MI Mathla'ul Anwar. Gratitude and happiness filled their faces. Hopefully, TCF's assistance can have a broad impact and benefit the community around the school, as a form of TCF's concern and social responsibility for the future of the younger generation in underdeveloped areas and a form of TCF's participation in realizing the "demographic bonus" towards Golden Indonesia 2045.
