TEZ Capital and Finance Rebuilds Schools

On August 16, 2022, TEZ Capital And Finance carried out the handover of the Ath-Thoriqiah Islamic Elementary School (MI) building as well as the inauguration of the building's use for student teaching and learning activities.

This school building, located in Cikeusik Village, Cikeusik District, Pandeglang Regency, Banten Province, is a new building built on land donated by residents, and is a place of learning for 103 students who generally come from underprivileged families.

The construction of this school building is a form of concern and social responsibility (CSR) of TEZ Capital And Finance (TCF) which consistently chooses the field of building educational facilities and infrastructure for underprivileged communities in remote areas—as the company's main CSR program.

Since TCF was founded, the construction of this school building is the 5th school building, which was built this time in collaboration with Daarut-Tauhid (DT) Peduli as a partner and companion for TCF's CSR activities in the field of building educational facilities and infrastructure.

The building, which serves as a teaching place for 9 honorary teachers and 1 principal—with honorariums ranging from Rp. 300 thousand to Rp. 500 thousand—received an enthusiastic welcome from students, teachers, local residents and local village and sub-district government officials.

Of course, the initial condition of the building was almost collapsing: it was attacked by termites, made of bamboo, the roof leaked, the land status was still on land owned by residents, and it did not have toilet facilities.

The handover and inauguration ceremony for the school building was solemn and lively. It featured student art performances and other entertainment. Representatives from TCF Management, the Village Head and Cikeusik Village government officials, the Head of Madrasah Education Supervisory Agency from the Ministry of Religious Affairs, and all parents were present.

For us, the villagers who are generally traditional farmers, education is the only hope or path we hope to improve the standard of living of the community in the future. PT TEZ Capital And's social concern is history for us, it can help change the fate of our children in the future through education, may Allah SWT repay the kindness of the entire extended family of TEZ Capital, making their business increasingly advanced and sustainable in the future ," said the Head of Cikeusik Village in his remarks.

In addition to the handover of the school building, which was donated Rp 350 million by TEZ Capital and Finance, the inauguration ceremony also featured the presentation of donations from individual TEZ Capital Group employees. The employee donations were delivered collectively and included: children's books, dictionaries, stationery, wall clocks, Qurans, Iqro books, suitable clothing, and more.
